Brandon Palmer Hook, 44, from Mechanicsburg, passed away on Thursday August 8, 2019 at his home.
Born on April 3, 1975 in Biloxi, Mississippi, he is the son of Ronald G. and Catharine (Gill) Hook of Mechanicsburg.
In addition to his parents, Brandon is survived by his longtime companion Britney Chin Sue; his son Bodhi Malachi Hook; daughter, Zoe Aiyana Hook, and Zoe’s mother, Hilary Scott; his son, Ozzie Izudin Mark Hook, and Ozzie’s mother Ashley Godwin; his two sisters, Stephanie de Garay, her husband Patrick, and their children Gabe, Lukas and Maddie; Megan Hook and her son Jameson Hook.
Brandon didn’t do normal. He was a loyal fan of the Grateful Dead and considered himself a deadhead. He had a great love for music and also enjoyed to DJ as a hobby. He was a skateboarder and adventurous mountain biker, who was even featured in a magazine. He was passionate about reading and was constantly seeking to broaden his spirituality and knowledge of all things. He was gifted in art and his artwork was featured on a Christmas card. He was known for the unique tribal tattoo on his face that was done by his dear friend. He was a father who cared deeply for his children and said they were his greatest accomplishment. Brandon had a very close relationship with his mom where he learned to be selfless. He had a deep respect for his father’s devotion and admired his resilience. He always kept his family on their toes and always came through when it mattered the most. He once said “I just need to find myself a kind sister (female deadhead) which I know I can” and he finally did in Britney. His family knows he is at peace and watching over us.
